On Saturday 30th July I'll be at Shambles Bookstore in Sorell, Tasmania with three authors of children's books: Anne Morgan, Julie Hunt and Sue Moss. Anne, Julie and Sue will read from their recent picture books, and will do book signings. I'll show some of my artwork, and do on-the-spot illustration while Julie reads from her book series about the daring heroine "Little Else". There will be plenty of paper and pencils for children and adults who want to join in with the drawing, and I might be asking for a few story ideas on my latest drawing ... (see below) ...

- It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that swing. Welcome to my blog about children's book illustration, poetry, animals, vegetables ... OK, maybe I should stop there. I’m an artist in Hobart, Tasmania. I've just illustrated 'The Smallest Carbon Footprint in the Land' by Anne Morgan, and am currently illustrating two picture books about traditional life in Sudan. If you'd like to see more, please visit my linked folio page, view my profile at The Australian Society of Authors, or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you!

I was a bit disgusted with this painting at the time, but on reflection (no pun intended) it was rather ambitious trying to depict reflections, ripples and rainbows AND a cow rowing a boat. Waiting to see what my tutor has to say!!
